AC Milan wins 1-0 over Fiorentina at the San Siro and now they are two points ahead of Inter to move closer to the Scudetto.
It was a very nervy tie and both teams struggled to finish the chances they created. Rafeal Leao’s goal in the 82nd minute was enough to seal the victory.
Both teams went into the break goalless. However, AC Milan failed to register a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes against Fiorentina. Moreover, early in the second half, Leao missed a chance from close range.
Fiorentina were rescued from going ahead in the 75th minute by a wonderful save from Arthur Cabral’s header.
Leao capitalized on a misplaced pass from Fiorentina’s goalkeeper and then he fired a low effort into the goal to keep AC Milan in the title race.
AC Milan has 77 points from 35 games, two more points than Inter Milan on the league table.
AC Milan are in hunt for their first league title in more than a decade.
