Andreas Christensen close to sign Barcelona deal

Andreas Christensen

Reportedly, the Danish centre back, Andreas Christensen, agreed to join Barcelona for five years on a free transfer from Chelsea.

There were many offers on the table for Christensen to sign. Bayern Munich was also interested in signing the Danish international. However, he chose Barcelona over them. Out of respect for Chelsea, Christensen will not accept any offer from any premier league team.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are closing in on signing Andreas Christensen. Recent reports suggest that club directors Jordi Cruyff and Mateu Alemany travelled to London to offer a deal to their agents. The only thing that remains is for both parties to sign an agreement and for the clubs to make it official.

Christensen won the Champions League with Chelsea last season. This will be a great signing for Barcelona if they manage to complete all the processes as they are trying to strengthen their defence and try to find a replacement for Gerard Pique.
