Antonio Rudiger close to signing for Real Madrid

Antonio Rudiger is close to joining Real Madrid on a free transfer after reaching an agreement with Chelsea over a lucrative four-year deal.

Rudiger’s contract runs out at the end of June with Chelsea. However, Chelsea cannot extend Ruidiger’s contract because of the sanctions. Antonio Rudiger joined Chelsea from Roma in 2017. However, after joining the Blues, Rudiger scored 12 goals and registered seven assists in 196 appearances.

Antonio Rudiger will join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement has been reached on long term contract while final details will be completed soon.
It should be valid until June 2026, four year deal.

The amount the 29-year-old will earn is not yet known. But it will be a substantial increase over his current deal and similar to the £200,000-a-week salary offered by the Chelsea.

The 29-year-old, who has scored five goals and assisted four times in 47 appearances for Chelsea this season.

Moreover, there is a strong possibility that Tuchel wants to sign two defenders. As a replacement of Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who is expected to join Barcelona.
