Arsenal beat Chelsea and keep Champions League hope alive

Mikel Arteta

Arsenal kept their hopes alive of a top four finish on the league table after winning 4-2 against Chelsea.

After the win against Chelsea, Arsenal tied Tottenham on the points table and are in fifth place. The first goal came through Nketiah when he latched onto the loose back pass from Christensen. The goal was quickly equalised by Chelsea through Timo Werner.

After 10 minutes, Arsenal were again in front when Odegard squared it for Smith Rowe to finish on the break. Just after the half-hour mark, Azpilicueta equalises for the home team. Both teams went into the game on level terms, scoring two goals each.

However, in the second half, Nketiah restored the lead for the visitors in the 57th minute. Chelsea dominated ball possession, but they were not able to find the net. However, they gave away a penalty in the 90th minute.

Arsenal are fifth and have played 32 games and have won 57 points. Meanwhile, Chelsea remain in third place.
