Arsenal have officially confirmed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure. Arsenal have agreed to allow Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Barcelona on a free transfer. He earned £350,000-a-week at Arsenal

After December 6, the 32-year-old did not play for the club and was dropped from their squad because of disciplinary breach. “We wish Auba all the best for the next chapter in his career and thank him for his contribution to the club,” the club said in a statement.

Aubameyang scored 92 goals in 163 appearances for Arsenal and helped the club win the FA Cup in 2020. Aubameyang played a key role in the FA Cup final against Chelsea, scoring two goals.

Barcelona, Arsenal, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang agreed late Monday night on a free transfer for the Gabonese international. After several hours of negotiating, the three parties came to an agreement. Sporting director Mateu Alemany and technical director Jordi Cruyff met with Arsenal at the club’s headquarters. However, reaching an agreement with the English club took hours.

Aubameyang passed his medical late night, and all that remains is for the Blaugrana to make an official announcement. Aubameyang took a significant pay cut to complete his move to Barcelona.
