Arsenal drop important points as they suffer a 3-0 defeat against Patrick Viera’s Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace continued their fine form after the international break and beat Arsenal at Selhurst Park. The first-half goals from Jean Mateta and Jordan Pierre Ayew and a second-half penalty by Wilfried Zaha sealed victory for Crystal Palace.

Arsenal had their chances, but they lacked finishing in front of the goal, and Crystal Palace’s defence did really well to keep a clean sheet. It was the visitors who dominated the most ball possession (68%), but Crystal Palace made their chances count.

The visitors had 12 shots, but only three of them were on target. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace had 6 shots, with 5 of them being on target.

Arsenal are now 5th in the table with 54 points in 29 games. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are in 9th place with 37 points in 30 games.
