Arsenal failed to go fourth on the table against Tottenham as they dropped points against Brighton, they lost 1-2 at the Emirates.
The game was tight as Arsenal and Brighton struggled to create any clear-cut chances in the first half. The visitors scored the first goal in the 28th minute when Leandro Trossard took a shot from inside the box.
However, the Brazilian international Gabriel Martinelli scored a goal, but his goal was disallowed by the VAR. Brighton went into half time with a one goal lead. In the second half, the seagulls doubled their lead when Mwepu scored a goal in the 66th minute.
Towards the end of the game, in the 89th minute, Martin Odegard scored the first goal for the home team.
Arsenal are currently in 5th place behind Tottenham with 54 points in 30 games. Meanwhile, Brighton have moved to 11th place with 37 points from 31 games.
