Arsenal have linked with Scottish left-back Aaron Hickey, who is currently playing for Bologna.
Aaron Hickey joined the Italian club in 2020 from the heart of Midlothian. Hickey has been nominated for a Golden Boy award for his performances in Italy. This season, he has scored five goals and assisted one in 33 appearances.
Kieran Tierney’s recent injuries have left him out of the squad for the whole season. Therefore, Arsenal are interested in the left back and will look to strengthen their squad.
Moreover, Aaron Hickey is also a very versatile player. He can also play in the right back position. So he could also fill in for Takehiro Tomiyasu’s right back position.
Arsenal will strengthen their squad because they will be playing European football next year. And European football requires a bigger squad than usual.
Bologna are thought to be looking to sell player Aaron Hickey to Arsenal, who they signed for £1.5m in the summer of 2020, for a £18m.
At the moment Arsenal are 4th on league table with four more matches to play.
