With a 3-1 victory over rival Real Betis, Atletico Madrid took another important step toward a top four finish.

However, Jan Oblak kept Atletico in the game after making some crucial saves. Both the teams were on level terms at half time.
In the second half, Atletico kept their intensity high and that intensity and pressure did their work. At the hour mark, Joao Felix scored again, giving his team the important lead away from home. Antoine Griezmann’s cut back was cushioned by Thomas Lemar to double Atletico Mardird’s lead over Real Betis.
Atletico Madrid are currently in 4th position with 48 points in 27 matches. Meanwhile, Real Betis is in 5th place with 46 points in 27 matches.
