Barcelona and Galatasaray draw in the first leg of Europa League

Barcelona played Galatasaray at the Camp Nou for the Europa League round of 16 fixture.

The game ended all square with a score of 0-0. Barcelona made many changes to their starting line-up to rest some players.

Galatasaray started the game with great intensity against Barcelona, but they were not able to create any great chances. Barcelona dominated the ball. However, they struggled to find the net. 

In the second half, both teams played good football. At the hour mark, Sergio Busquets came close to giving the hosts the lead, but his header was palmed away by the La Masia graduate, Inaki Pena.

In the 76th minute, Barcelona came close to scoring the opener through Frenkie de Jong, but his effort hit the post. This was the best chance Barcelona had throughout the game.

Barcelona had 68% of ball possession and 16 shots, with 4 on target. Meanwhile, Galatasaray had 3 shots on target.

The second leg of this fixture will be played at NEF Stadyumu on March 17th.
