The defence of Barcelona suffered injuries in the game against Real Sociedad, which they won 1-0 at the Reale Arena.
Barcelona started the game with Araujo and Pique in the centre, with Jordi Alba and Dani Alves in their respective positions. As the first half wore on, Pique was limping. Despite being injured, Pique played almost the whole game. He was replaced in the 82nd minute by Clement Lenglet.
However, the main issue came up when Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo went down with a knee injury. He was replaced by Eric Garcia in the 55th minute. The Brazilian Dani Alves was then taken off after 66 minutes after a tackle by his former teammate Rafinha.
Alba pulled a muscle halfway through the second half and played while clearly struggling. Due to injuries, there was 10 minutes of stoppage time, but Barcelona held on to their 1-0 lead against Real Sociedad.
