Barcelona move to second place after narrow victory against Sevilla

Barcelona defeated Sevilla 1-0 at the Camp Nou after Pedri scored a magnificent goal from outside the box. Barcelona moved up to second place after defeating Sevilla. 

Both teams’ defences were in top form as the game went into the break 0-0. Both teams had their chances, but they were not able to convert any of them. In the first half, Dembele was the most influential player on the pitch for Barcelona on the right flank.

In the second half, Sevilla looked really good, had control of the ball and were moving the ball very calmly, but Barcelona were unable to unlock Barcelona’s defense.

Barcelona started pressing well in the last 20 minutes and started piling up the pressure on Sevilla’s defense. In the 72nd minute, Barcelona found the breakthrough thanks to Pedri’s shot. After scoring the goal, the game did not have much of a goal threat. 

Both teams dominated with almost the same amount of ball possession. However, Barcelona had 19 shots, 6 of which were on target. Meanwhile, Sevilla managed eight shots, with three of them on target. 

Pedri’s goal was enough for Barcelona to seal the victory and beat Sevilla. Barcelona are now 14 games unbeaten under Xavi Hernandez.
