Barcelona reclaimed fourth place in La Liga after defeating Valencia 1-4 at the Mestalla.

Aubameyang scored a hat-trick as Barcelona cruised to a dominant win over Valencia as Xavi Hernandez continues his rebuilding process.

Alba plays a beautiful ball over the top to Aubameyang, who curls the ball into the near corner for his first goal for Barcelona. Frenkie de Jong also scored for Barcelona. Later on, Auba scored his second goal, making the score 0-3 for the Catalans.

Valencia scored in the first half, but it was ruled out because the ball had gone out of play. Barcelona made a substitution in the second half, Oscar Mingueza replaced Eric Garcia. Later, Valencia’s consolation goal came from young winger Bryan Gil’s cross for Carlos Soler to head.

In the second half Pedri’s strike hit the Gabonese striker’s back before going so it was declared as Aubamenyang’s goal. With this victory, Barcelona is now only one point behind third-placed Real Betis and have a strong chance of finishing in the top three.

Barcelona will go into the second leg of their Europa League match against Napoli with their heads held high.
