Barcelona sporting director says “isn’t true” about Lewandowski rumours

In recent days, Barcelona have been trying to sign a number 9, and Lewandowski is their main priority for now.

Since Haaland is difficult for Barcelona to sign, considering their financial condition, they will be trying to sign Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.

Barcelona are trying to sign a striker who can score 30 goals each season. And Lewandowski has scored thirty-two goals this season in the Bundesliga. He has also scored thirteen goals in the Champions League in just ten games.

Bayern Munich and Lewandowski have yet to reach an agreement to extend his contract. Barcelona’s sporting director, Mateu Alemany, denied having an agreement with the Polish forward.

“We don’t have any agreement with the forward, that is speculation from the press that is very good for filling pages,” Alemany explained this in an interview prior to kickoff against Frankfurt. Which Barcelona lost against Frankfurt 2-3. He also said “It isn’t true.”

“If we wanted him, the first thing we would do would be to talk to his club.” Alemany added.
