Bayern thrashed RB Salzburg in the second leg of the Champions League

Bayern Munich thrashed RB Salzburg 7-1 in the second leg at the Allianz Arena. 

Both the Austrian and the German teams went into this fixture on level terms with a 1-1 aggregate. Bayern Munich scored seven goals against RB Salzburg to knock them out of the Champions League in the second leg.

Salzburg had a big chance in the 2nd minute of the first but were not able to capitalise on it and take the lead. However, in the 11th minute, Salzburg gave away a penalty and Lewandowski made no mistake in making them pay for it. Later, Lewandowski went on to score a hat-trick in just 23 minutes of the first half.

After the half an hour mark gnabry found the net for bayern to make it 4-0. The hosts went into the half time with 4-0 lead. In the second half, Thomas Müller scored a brace to make things worse for Salzburg. RB Salzburg found a consolation goal in the second half, around the 70th minute.

To finish it off sane scored the 7th goal in the 85th minute. Bayern Munich defeated Austrian team RB Salzburg 8-2 on aggregate.
