After being relegated to the Championship in 2019–20, Bournemouth have returned to the top-flight at the second attempt.
The match got off to a good start for Bournemouth, as their first chance was denied by Forest keeper Brice Samba. A brilliant long-range cross from the defender led to a chance for Forest’s Sam Surridge a minute later, but he smashed his finish against the crossbar.
Both teams had chances in the first half, but it ended goalless. The second half got off to a slow start, but Nottingham Forest were great defensively.
However, Kieffer Moore scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute, sidefooting the ball home after Philip Billing found him with a clever free kick.
Bournemouth are 2nd position on the league table they have 85 points in 45 games. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are 3rd in league with 79 points in 45 games.
