Chelsea book their place in FA Cup final as they beat Crystal Palace

FA Cup

Chelsea are through to the finals of the FA Cup as they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.

The goals from Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount for Chelsea were enough to seal the victory against Crystal Palace. Chelsea will face Liverpool in the finals of the FA Cup on May 14th at the Anfield stadium.

It was Chelsea who dominated ball possession, having almost 67% of it. However, in the first half, both teams were not able to find spaces between well-organized defences. Both teams went into the first half without scoring a goal.

The second half was almost similar to the first half until Loftus-Cheek gave Chelsea the lead. Crystal Palace were sitting deep and looking to hit on the counter attack.

However, in the 76th minute, Mason Mount scored the second goal for Chelsea. Moreover, Lukaku had a chance to extend his three-goal lead against Crystal Palace, but his effort hit the post.

It will be an interesting final between Chelsea and Liverpool, as Chelsea will be looking to take revenge against Liverpool for their League Cup final defeat against Liverpool.
