Cristiano Ronaldo left the pitch in pain after Manchester United lost 1-0 to Everton at Goodison Park.
Everton took a stunning victory against Manchester United as they try to stay away from the relegation zone. The goal from Anthony Gordon was enough to seal the victory.
A deep laceration appears on Ronaldo’s shin, but it is unclear from just what collision the injury occurred. Cristiano Ronaldo was ill last weekend and had to miss the game of Manchester United against Leicester City. However, he made his return from illness and started the game against Everton at Goodison Park.
Ronaldo had a few chances to mark his return with goals, but he was not able to finish them. An update on this injury is yet to be confirmed by the club.
Despite United dominating ball possession, they only managed four shots on target out of 12.
Manchester United are seventh in the league table after the loss against the Toffees, with 51 points in 31 games. Meanwhile, Everton are 17th in the league and four points above the relegation zone.
