Everton secured their Premier League place after coming back from behind and beating Crystal Palace 3-2 at Goodison Park.
Crystal Palace were leading by two goals in the first half against Everton. However, in the second half, Frank Lampard’s team pulled off an amazing comeback.
It was Jean Mateta who scored the first goal for the visitors in the 21st minute when Eze’s free-kick found him in the box for him to head from close range.
Crystal Palace doubled their lead in the 36th minute when Zaha’s half volley was not blocked properly by Pickford. As a result, it landed right in the legs of Ayew, who poked it past Pickford.
Richarlison had the best chance for the hosts, but his attempt struck the crossbar. Moreover, Crystal Palace had a comfortable two-goal lead.
However, soon after the restart, Micheal Kean pulled back one for the hosts to make it 2-1. Later, in the 75th minute, Richarlison equalised for the Toffees when he shot the ball across the goal.
Moreover, in the 85th minute, Everton complete their comeback when Dominic Clavert-Lewin throws himself at the ball to head it and give the Toffees an important lead.
After this victory Everton confirm their Premier League stay now Leeds and Burnley can’t catch them on the league table.
