The FC Barcelona stadium is set to be renamed the Spotify Nou Camp, According to RAC1.
FC Barcelona and Spotify, the Swedish music streaming company, are currently in advanced talks about a major sponsorship deal that could be announced soon. The agreement will provide an economic boost to the La Liga club over the next three years. Barcelona will earn 280 million euros from the sponsorship.
The deal includes the sponsorship of the men’s shirt, the women’s shirt, the club’s training shirt, and the stadium name. In 2017, Barcelona agreed to a €55 million-per-season kit deal with Japanese retailer Rakuten. However, that contract will expire at the end of this season.
Barcelona CEO Ferran Reverter resigned on Tuesday after only seven months in the job for “personal and family reasons,” according to the club. The Swedish music company will be the first brand to sponsor the club’s Camp Nou stadium.
