FC Porto have confirmed that they have reached a deal with Arsenal for the attacking midfielder Fabio Viera.
FC Porto and Arsenal, on the other hand, have agreed on a €40 million deal with €5 million in add-ons.
This was Arsenal’s third signing since the season ended. They signed a goalkeeper, Matt Turner, and a Brazilian forward, Marquinhos.
Moreover, Fabio Viera played a key role in Porto’s last season’s success. He scored seven goals and provided sixteen assists last season for Porto.
Porto said in a statement: “The club informs the market that it has reached an agreement with Arsenal FC for the signing, on a permanent basis, of Fabio Vieira for the amount of 40 million euros, of which €5 million is dependent on the achievement of sporting goals.”
“It is further informed that the final agreement is still being finalised and is expected to be done in the coming days.”
