Frank Lampard, the new manager of Everton, wants former Chelsea teammate Ashley Cole to join him on the coaching staff at Goodison Park. Everton are confident that they will complete a deal to add Ashley Cole to Frank Lampard’s new backroom staff.
Cole is currently working with Chelsea’s academy and coaching England’s U21 squad. They were at Stamford Bridge for eight years, winning the Premier League, four FA Cups, the Champions League, and two League Cups.
Lampard made a statement by bringing Paul Clement, Chris Jones, and Joe Edwards with him to Merseyside. He also persuaded club legend Duncan Ferguson to remain in the new set-up alongside goalkeeper coach Alan Kelly.
Everton’s new manager, Frank Lampard, held his first training session with the squad on Monday afternoon, kicking off the club’s new era. Lampard’s first game in charge of the Toffees will be against Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round at Goodison Park on Saturday. And he has already been leading training ahead of the game with the Bees.
