Fulham thrashed Luton 7-0 at Craven Cottage to win the Championship and secure Premier League promotion.
This was the third time Marco Silva’s Fulham team had netted seven goals. The Cottagers’ Tom Cairney opened the scoring for the Cottagers in the 29th minute, the club’s 100th league goal of the season.
Later, after ten minutes, Kenny Tete scored to make it 2-0 and made sure they had a comfortable two-goal advantage going into the break.
Soon after the restart, it only took 9 minutes for the hosts to score their third goal through Fabio Carvalho. To make it 4-0, their top scorer, Mitrovic, stepped up to extend their lead in the 62nd minute.
Soon after three minutes, Bobby Reid made it 5-0. Later, in the 79th minute, substitute Jean Seri made it 6-0. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his 43rd goal of the season and broke the championship goalscoring record to make the score line 7-0.
