Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish will miss Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League match against Sporting CP due to an injury.
Jack Grealish also missed last premier league game against Norwich on Saturday after a recurrence of the shin problem that troubled him at Aston Villa last season. City won 0-4 against Norwich. Sterling scored a hattrick and Phil Foden scored a goal to help City extend their lead up top.
Pep Guardiola, City’s manager, says the injury is not serious, but the 26-year-old will not travel to Lisbon for the first leg of Champions League. Cole Palmer and Gabriel Jesus will miss this fixture as well.
Blues are confident going into the game. City had an amazing unbeaten run of 15 matches the in Premier League but was spoiled by draw against Southampton. City Forward Jesus has not played since suffering a knock while on international duty last month. While Palmer is still out with a foot injury.
Man City are also competing in the FA Cup and the Champions League, and it will be compelling to see what City can accomplish this season.
