Leicester City have confirmed that their head of recruitment, Lee Congerton, has left the club to join Serie A club.

Lee Congerton joined Leicester from Celtic in 2019, and he spent three years at the club. However, now he has decided to leave the club and join Atlanta.

Under him, Leicester were able to sign players like James Justin, Wesley Fofana, Timothy Castagne, and Patson Daka.

“There’s a possibility for Lee to go, and like I’ve always thought for any of my staff members, if there’s a possibility for them to improve the conditions of their life, and go into a better position, then of course I’m supportive of that,” Rodgers said.

Leicester City also released a official statement. “Leicester City today confirms the departure of Head of Senior Player Recruitment Lee Congerton, following a three-year spell with the Club.”

“He will shortly take up a senior position with Serie A side Atalanta.” “Leicester City would like to place on record its thanks to Lee for his contribution to a successful period in the Club’s history and wish him every success in his future career.”
