Lionel Messi says “we are not the top favorites, but we will put up a fight against anyone” about the Upcoming World Cup.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi and his team Argentina beat Italy 3-0 in the Finalissma and secured their second international trophy.

“What we experienced here was beautiful,” Messi said. “We knew it was going to be a nice game and a nice setting in which to be champions.”

“We keep growing, that’s what we are looking for. We are working on a day by day basis in order to improve further. We continue to say that we are not the top favorites, but we will put up a fight against anyone, because this group is hopeful, it has clear goals. We must keep improving. Now we have important matches in September, we need to work and improve in order to arrive the best way possible at our World Cup debut.”

Argentina’s national football team is now unbeaten for three years after securing victory against Brazil in the Copa America final.
