Liverpool advances to the final of UCL after beating Villarreal


Liverpool pulled off an impressive comeback against Villarreal to beat them 2-3 and 2-5 on aggregate in the second leg of the semi-final.

After this victory, Liverpool advances to the Champions League final. Moreover, it will be their 10th Champions League final in the history of the club.

Liverpool went into this fixture having taken a comfortable two-goal lead in the first leg. However, in the second leg, Villarreal managed to score two goals in the first half to make the aggregate score 2-2.

Later in the second half, Liverpool had more control of the ball and created a few chances. Eventually, in the 62nd minute, Fabinho scored a goal for the Reds to give them an advantage in the tie. 

Soon after that, substitute Luis Diaz scored a header to give Liverpool a comfortable two-goal lead. To top it off, Liverpool scored the third goal to complete their comeback through Sadio Mane.

After this victory against Villarreal, Liverpool will keep their quadruple hopes alive. Liverpool will face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in the final of the Champions League.
