Liverpool went on top of the Premier League table after thrashing Manchester United 4-0 at the Anfield. However, Man City beat Brighton to go on top again.

However, Manchester United missed their two key players, Ronaldo and Paul Pogba against Liverpool. Ronaldo was out because of the tragic death of his son. Moreover, Pogba started the game initially, but he got injured, so he was subbed and Lingard replaced him.

The Reds were in complete control of the game from the start. Liverpool only took a few minutes to score their first goal when Mohamed Salah’s cross found Luis Diaz in the box for him to tap in.

Liverpool’s second goal came in the 22nd minute. In the 35th minute, Diaz scored another goal, but it was disallowed as he was offside. Liverpool went into the break with a comfortable two-goal lead. Meanwhile, United struggled to create chances in the first half.

However, in the second half, Manchester United had good control of the game and created a few chances but didn’t manage to finish. Until Sadio Mane netted a third goal for Liverpool.

To top it off, Mohamed Salah scored his second goal and fourth goal for Liverpool. The whole game United only managed to take three shots, with only one of them being on target.
