Liverpool came back from behind to beat Southampton win 1-2 at St Mary’s Stadium, extending the League title race to the final day.

The Reds are now just a point behind Premier League leaders Manchester City. Nathan Redmond gave the hosts the lead in the 13th minute.

However, Southampton’s lead was later equalised by Takumi Minamino in the 28th minute. Both teams went into the first half all square.

Despite conceding the goal from Nathan Redmond, Liverpool dominated the first half. Jurgen Klopp’s side came close, but they only managed to score once in the first half.

In the second half, Harvey Elliott had a chance when Firmino played him into the inside right channel, but his attempt hit the side net.

However, in the 68th minute, Joel Matip completed the comeback for Liverpool against Southampton and secured three points.

Liverpool will face Wolves in the last game of the Premier League.
