According to ESPN, Luis Enrique is being considered as a candidate, with Man United executives believing that he has the necessary credentials and a “winning track record” to help the club win trophies.

Enrique began his managerial career at Barcelona B and returned to the club in 2014.

Luis Enrique led the Barcelona to two La Liga, three Copa del Rey titles, and the Champions League. He also led Spain to the Euro 2020 semi-finals and the runner-up spot in the 2020-21 UEFA Nations League.

Man United reportedly believe that the Spaniard’s football credentials and experience managing world-class players make him an ideal candidate for the position.

Pochettino’s PSG contract is expiring in June 2023, any move to Old Trafford could be complicated.

However, ESPN is reporting that among those on the shortlist, the United locker room prefers a move for Pochettino. Zinedine Zidane has also been mentioned as a possible candidate for the vacant position.
