Manchester City and Liverpool play out entertaining draw

Liverpool vs Manchester City

Both Manchester City and Liverpool delivered breathtaking games as both teams drew 2-2 at the Etihad Stadium.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool had chances to score goals. However, it was Manchester City player Kevin De Bruyne who scored the opening goal when his shot took a big deflection off Matip and beat Alisson.

It only took five minutes for the hosts to score the opening goal. However, Liverpool reacted quickly to the equaliser in just eight minutes when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cut back found Jota in front of the goal.

Man City scored second goal in the 36th minute when Cancelo’s cross found Jesus in the box and he scored. Man City went into the half with a one-goal lead against Liverpool.

Soon after the restart, the visitors equalised when Salah’s through ball reached Mane and he calmly put it behind Ederson. Moreover, Sterling scored the third goal near the hour mark, but his goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.

City came close to scoring many times in the last minutes, but they were unlucky not to score. After this game, Manchester City are still the leaders of the Premier League with one point ahead of second-placed Liverpool.
