Manchester City go three point clear at top after thrashing Wolves

Manchester City moved closer to retaining their Premier League title after thrashing Wolves 1-5 and moving three points clear of Liverpool.

Kevin De Bruyne put on a great show against Manchester City, scoring four goals to Manchester City’s five. Manchester City took an early lead in seven minutes as De Bruyne slotted the ball beyond Wolves keeper Jose Sa. 

Moreover, the hosts responded quickly as they scored the equaliser in just four minutes through Dendoncker. However, Man City were back in front when De Bruyne scored his second goal in an empty net. Kevin De Bruyne completed his 24-minute hat-trick and secured Man City a two-goal lead.

However, in the second half, Wolves didn’t manage to score a goal, but later Kevin De Bruyne went on to score his fourth goal. And to wrap it up, Raheem Sterling scored the fifth goal to make it 1-5 at the Molineux Stadium. 

This result means Manchester City are three points ahead of second-place Liverpool. Meanwhile, Wolves are in the eighth position.
