Manchester City will host Sporting Lisbon in the second leg of the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City won the first leg of Champions League in the Portuguese capital 5-0. Man City have only 14 senior players available for the match, according to Pep Guardiola. Manchester City are dealing with an injury crisis and the suspension of some players, which has resulted in only 14 players being available for the Champions League match.

“We don’t have many, many players we have just 14 available. We have a few problems suspension for Kyle , Joao can’t play,” Guardiola told his pre-match press conference. Kyle Walker has been suspended for three UCL matches following his challenge on Andre Silva.

Guardiola also updated on the situation with Nathan Ake and his injury. And Guardiola is not going to risk his return because Ruben Dias is out for six weeks and Ake will be a key player.

“Tomorrow is too risky and with Ruben Dias out for a long time (up to six weeks) we cannot risk another central defender. I know we have five days before playing Crystal Palace. After this game we have some recovery days but we cannot lose Nathan. It’s too risky, the doctor said to me.” Pep Guardiola said.
