Italian reports claim that a Manchester City deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is “very imminent”.
Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sports Italy reported that a deal for Erling Haaland to join Manchester City is now “very imminent”.
Manchester City have been looking to sign a proper number nine since the departure of Sergio Aguero in 2021. Sergio Aguero is Manchester City’s all-time top goalscorer.
Erling Haaland is one of the most prolific strikers in the world. He has a release clause of around £62 million and there are some top clubs trying to sign him.
Manchester City also tried to sign Tottenham Hotspur star striker Harry Kane last summer, but the deal didn’t happen.
In 21 appearances, Erling Haaland has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund in the season 2021–2022.
Manchester City will face some serious competition by Real Madrid to sign Haaland. However, it will be compelling to see who Haaland plays for next season
