Paul Pogba set to feature in squad against Middlesbrough

Manchester United vs Middlesbrough

Ralf Rangnick confirms Paul Pogba will start FA Cup, citing the Manchester United star’s strongest position, according to Goal.

Paul Pogba has not played for Manchester United since the November 2 Champions League draw against Atalanta. While on international duty with France, he suffered a serious groin injury. Rangnick is considering starting Paul Pogba at Old Trafford, and sees him playing a box-to-box role in his current setup.

Questioned on whether he can get the best out of the 28-year-old, “I don’t know. I’m happy to have him back in the squad and he might be playing from the start tomorrow. “I see his best possible position for me as one of the central midfield positions as either an 8 or 10 but the way we’re currently playing I’d rather see him in the 8 position but we’ll have to see. ”

Rangnick claims he is unaware of Pogba’s plans and has informed the player that he will face a battle to reclaim his place as a regular starter.
