Pep Guardiola wants Manchester City to sign Brighton & Hove left-back Marc Cucurella.

Manchester City will make a £30 million move this summer to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton. However, Brighton signed Cucurella from Getafe last summer for around €15.4 million.

Moreover, Marc Cucurella has also won Brighton Player of the Season after his first season at the club.

Manchester City are attempting to sign former Getafe player Marc Cucurella in order to increase competition at left back.

Marc Cucurella joined Brighton from Getafe and made 24 league appearances, scoring once and also assisting once.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have used Zinchenko and Joao Cancelo in the left-back position. However, Pep Guardiola wants a more orthodox left-back for competition, to provide balance in the team and for depth in the squad.

Moreover, Marc Cucurella is versatile; he can play as a wide midfield player, so with Fernandinho leaving, having Cucurella might help Pep Guardiola.

Marc Cucurella has been key player for Brighton’s games this season. Currently with one game remaining Brighton are 10th on league table.
