Manchester United have announced that Paul Pogba will be leaving the club as his contract expires.
Paul Pogba will be leaving on a free transfer for the second time after he joined Juventus in 2012. However, he made an emotional return to Old Trafford in 2016.
He joined Manchester United in 2016 for a world record fee of €89 million. However, in his recent season he failed to live up to the expectations of the fans.
His injuries made him inconsistent last season. Moreover, he was booed by Manchester United fans in his last two games of the club.
The club statement said: “The club can announce that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United at the end of June, upon the expiry of his contract.
“The Frenchman has enjoyed a long association with United, having joined the club’s Academy from Le Havre at the age of just 16.
“Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United. We wish him all the best for the next steps on a remarkable journey.”
