RB Leipzig were defeated by Rangers thanks to goals from Tavernier, Kamara, and Lundstram and advanced to the final of the Europa League.

Rangers will compete in their first final since 2008, against Frankfurt, who defeated Barcelona and West Ham on their way to the final.

It was Tavernier who scored the first goal for Rangers in the 18th minute, and the tie was 1-1 on aggregate score. Moreover, it was Taverniers’ seventh goal of the Europa League for Rangers.

Rangers took the lead when Kamara curled the ball with composure in the 24th minute. The home side put on a great show in the first and led the tie with a 2-1 aggregate score. RB Leipzig had their own chances but didn’t manage to make them count.

Later in the second half, in the 70th minute, Christopher Nkunku brings RB Leipzig back on level terms. However, soon after 10 minutes, Lundstram scores the goal and gives them an important lead to advance to the final.

This victory against RB Leipzig means Rangers will face Frankfurt in the final of the Europa League on May 19th at Sevilla.
