Real Madrid have identified Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, as a long-term replacement.
According to reports, Real Madrid will compete with Manchester United for the signing of Mauricio Pochettino. In January, PSG replaced Thomas Tuchel with Mauricio Pochettino.
PSG were knocked out of the Champions League semi-finals by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. They also lost Ligue1 to Lillie last season. Despite having a strong enough lead to win Ligue 1 this season, PSG had some disappointing results. They lost to Nantes in their last match, 3-1 under Pochettino.
Real Madrid wants to compete for the Champions League every season, and this has resulted in a number of coaches being fired despite excellent domestic results. The same thing could happen with Ancelotti, who is currently leading the La Liga table but trailing against PSG in the Champions League after they lost 1-0 in the first leg.
Manchester United have made no secret of their desire to replace interim manager with Pochettino. However, if Real Madrid steals Mauricio Pochettino from under their nose, they may have to look to Erik ten Hag.
