Real Madrid take two goal lead against Chelsea in the first leg

Karim Benzema’s hat-trick helped Real Madrid beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

Real Madrid take comfortable two goal lead into the second leg of the quarter-final. This game was full of chances on both ends. However, Benzema got the start as he scored two headed goals in three minutes in the first half. Later, in the 40th minute, Chelsea star Kai Havertz scored a goal.

The game was 2-1, with Real Madrid leading against Chelsea at half time. In the second half, Chelsea conceded another goal as Eduardo Mendy made a mistake and Benzema made it count. 

Chelsea dominated ball possession (57%). The home side also had 20 shots, but only 5 of them were on target. Meanwhile, Real Madrid had 8 shots, with 5 of them on target. 

Moreover, Chelsea will try everything to comeback against Real Madrid in the second leg to win this tie at the Santiago Bernabeu on April 13th.
