Roma beat Leicester City and advance to the Conference League final

Premier League

Roma defeated Leicester City 1-0 on aggregate to win 2-1 and progress to the final in Tirana, Albania, on May 26th.

A penalty claim by the Foxes was rejected when Smalling appeared to drag Fofana to the ground inside the box. But there was no trouble for Rui Patricio.

Tammy Abraham’s goal was enough for Mourinho’s Roma to seal the victory and advance to the final. Abraham met Lorenzo Pellegrini’s corner with his head, and he guided the ball into the goal.

The Leicester team took control after that goal, but many of their attempts were stopped by the Roma defenders before the ball found its way into Rui Patricio’s hands.

Leicester City didn’t create much trouble for the home team in the first half. However, Leicester City played well in the second half but still didn’t manage to score a goal.

Leicester City had more ball possession than Roma, but they were not able to create many chances. On the other hand, Roma were playing comfortably and forcing Kasper Schmeichel to make some saves.

On 26th May, Roma will play Feyenoord in the final of the inaugural Europa Conference League.
