Ronald Araujo suffered a calf injury during the class 2-2 draw against Espanyol, The club confirmed on Monday.

It does not appear to be a serious injury, but it appears that Araujo will miss Thursday night’s game due to the issue. According to Mundo Deportivo, Araujo will miss the Napoli clash but could be available for the Valencia match.

With Ronald Araujo out, Xavi is down to three center-backs Gerard Pique, Eric Garcia, and Oscar Mingueza for the Europa League game. Eric Garcia and Gerard Pique are expected to start, with Dest on the right and Alba on the left.

It was Garcia’s first game since coming back from five weeks out with an injury. Espanyol’s second goal came due to Garcia’s poor performance against Espanyol. Following the draw against Espanyol and victory against Atletico, Barça now sits in fourth place.

It will be interesting to see how Xavi lines up his Barcelona team against Napoli.
