Salah ready to trade his individual honour to replay Champions League final

Mohamed Salah

Mohammad Salah said he would trade all his individual awards this season to replay the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Liverpool and Salah lost the Champions League final to Real Madrid 1-0 at the Stade de France.

However, Mohamed Salah won the Premier League’s playmaker of the season and he also won the Premier League’s golden boot sharing with Tottenham Hotspur and league top scorer Son.

Moreover, the Football Writers’ Association named him men’s footballer of the year, and the Professional Footballers’ Association named him fan player of the year.

“Being recognised by the fans and by the sports journalists in the same season is something special that I will never forget,” Salah said on Twitter on Thursday.

“I would however give all those personal awards up for a chance at replaying that final, but that is not how football works. I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end, we couldn’t.
