Sergio Busquets has expressed his feelings about FC Barcelona speaking about wage cuts to the media rather than the player.

The financial condition of Barcelona is making the majority of players take paycut in order to register new players. However, Barcelona captain, Sergio Busquets was frustrated to experience this situation at Barcelona.

“I’ve heard a lot of things being said and when I come back from holiday I don’t know what they will tell me,” he said at a press conference.

“I would like them to tell me and not find out from somewhere else, but I’m always willing to help. They haven’t proposed anything to us, they haven’t told us anything beyond what we hear from you [the press].

“It’s not the best decision to do it through the press, it’s always better to be direct and face to face.”

“We’ve been a very good team, solid and compact, perhaps we lacked the success to win a match that we deserved,” he said.

“It’s going to depend on when we get to the World Cup, when we see the other teams. In the end we have to focus on what’s coming and in my case take advantage of the experience that these tournaments have given me.”

“I see him as different to what we have had. He still lacks a lot, I don’t know if it’s because he hasn’t fully adapted [to the national team] or because he’s young, he lacks the positional play that we’ve often had and that we try to do, he still has a lot to learn and a lot of knowledge to pick up.”

FC Barcelona finished second this season on the league table in the LaLiga. However, Barcelona will look to sign new players to compete for the title. Therefore, paycut is important..
