LaLiga title hopes of Sevilla are ended as they draw 1-1 against Cadiz at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
The home team opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Youssef En-Nesyri headed in a corner to give Sevilla the lead. Sevilla enjoyed the most of the ball and had possession of around 57%, but still didn’t manage to score more than one goal.
Sevilla went into the first half with a narrow one-goal lead against Cadiz. However, in the 65th minute of the second half, Cadiz were awarded a free-kick just outside the box. Lucas Perez converts that free-kick with his left foot and fires in the top left corner.
Sevilla are second in the table with 64 points, but with four games left. And now they cannot overtake Real Madrid at the top of the table. Moreover, Real Madrid also have a game in hand with 78 points.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are third on the table with 63 points in 33 games and have five games remaining. Mathematically, only Barcelona has a chance to overtake Real Madrid.
A draw will be enough for Real Madrid to secure the title on Saturday against Espanyol.
