Sevilla defeated West Ham United 1-0 in the Europa League in the first leg at Ramon Sanches-Pizjuan.

Munir’s goal gives them an important lead in the first leg. However, Sevilla took a narrow victory over West Ham. West Ham United have now lost three consecutive games in all competitions.

David Moyes made two changes to his team after losing to Liverpool. Areola started in goal and Declan Ricce was back from his illness. Even Julien Lopetegui’s side made two changes after they drew against Alaves with Rakatic on the bench and Thomas Delaney suspended after he was sent off in the Zagreb fixture.

However, It took an hour for the hosts to take the lead against West Ham United. Acuna’s free-kick was taken very sharply by Acuna to trick West Ham United’s defense. Acuna played the ball over the player to the far post for Munir to finish it and give them the lead.

Moreover, Sevilla will meet West Ham United in London on March 18th for the second leg of this fixture.
