Son Heung-min says he is more than happy not to win the Premier League Golden Boot as long as Tottenham make the Champions League next season.
The first player in the Golden Boot race is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who has scored 22 goals and provided 13 assists in 34 games.
However, Son Heung-min is having an extraordinary season for Tottenham Hotspur. He has scored 21 goals and provided 7 assists in 34 games. Moreover, he is second in the Golden Boot race.
Son’s fine form has helped Tottenham reach the top four spots on the league table with only a game remaining.
When Sonwas asked whether he would trade scoring any more goals for a top-four spot, he said: “Yeah, 100 per cent.”
“Obviously, it’s a good thing that you are racing. But I have said a few times that it is more important to finish in the top four (more) than anything else.
“It would be nice, but for us it is important to finish in the top four.”
