Tibaut Courtois spoke to the media ahead of Champions League final against Liverpool and is happy to represent Real Madrid in the final.
In the year 2014 Tibaut Courtois played only once in the Champions League final. Moreover, he played when he was Atletico Madrid goalkeeper and he faced Real Madrid.
However, Atletico Madrid lost the final to Real Madrid in 2014 in the extra time.
“I obviously didn’t win it in 2014, but I could win tomorrow,” Courtois said when asked for his memories of the game in Lisbon.
“But, I think everybody, no matter how many Champions League titles they’ve won, is thinking about winning the final for Real Madrid.
“Liverpool also know what it’s like to play a final against Real Madrid, as they did so in 2018.
“You know that when Real Madrid play finals they win them. This time I’m on the right side of history.”
