Tottenham are knocked out while Man City proceed to the next round

FA Cup action was back again after a few weeks and there were some shocking results. Tottenham lose 1-0 to Middlesbrough and Man City beat Peterborough United by 0-2.

Man City advance to the next round of the FA Cup but Tottenham came up just short against Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough VS Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur lost to the championship club in extra time after the substitute scored for Middlesbrough. As a result, their FA campaign ends in the fifth round of the competition. They conceded a goal in the extra time and the substitute’s goal was enough to send the Spurs home packing.

Spurs had their chances but lacked finishing. Heung-min Son missed many opportunities for his team. Moreover, Harry Kane’s goal was ruled offside, and Eric Dier’s header was saved by the Middlesbrough goalkeeper.

Later, the game entered extra time, a 19-year-old substitute made by Middlesbrough smashed a goal and knocked Tottenham out.

Peterborough United VS Man City

Manchester City beat Peterborough United to book their place in the next round of the FA Cup. Mahrez and Grealish helped Man City defeat Peterborough United by 0-2.

Pep Guardiola’s side was not able to find the net in the first half, but there were threatening signs shown by Ikay Gundogan and Jack Grealish. Peterborough played really well and looked lethal with their counter attacks.

Mahrez gave the visitors the lead on the hour mark with his brilliant effort from inside the box. After scoring the first goal, the confidence of Man City was boosted, and they were looking lively.

Later, after a few minutes, Foden played a brilliant ball to Grealish and the England international finished it with class to double the lead.
