Wolverhampton Wanderers took three points from Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, as two first-half goals were enough to defeat Antonio Conte’s side.

Tottenham had a nightmare start, falling behind after just six minutes when Raul Jimenez pounced on a poor punch out from Hugo Lloris to volley home the opener.

When Ben Davies’ poor pass started a Wolves attack, Leandro Dendoncker was on hand to double the lead after Daniel Podence’s effort hit the post. The home side applied some pressure in an attempt to cut Wolves’ lead, with Son Heung-min coming close to equalising just before halftime.

Spurs had more of the ball in the first half, but were greeted with a chorus of boos from frustrated fans as they went into the halftime break. Tottenham co-captain Harry Kane forced a save from Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa, and Harry Winks hit the post.

Tottenham Hotspur have lost three games on the run and must want to change their system. This is the worst losing streak of the Italian manager. Conte will look forward to their next matches to make a few changes in their system.

Spurs have played well but are somehow failing to get results and create good chances. Spurs will be travelling to Manchester to face Pep Guardiola and his men. A tough fixture for Conte but he knows the importance of getting three points at Etihad.

Tottenham are currently 8th in the Premier League table.
